Teach One Academy Announce Key Sponsors for its First Annual “Family Fun Day” Community Event
ATLANTA, GEORGIA – Teach One Academy kicks off it’s First Annual “Teach One Academy Presents Family Fun Day” community event on Saturday, April 26th from 12pm – 4pm at The Complex at Jefferson, 976 Jefferson Street, Atlanta, GA. Jennifer Toussaint, Executive Director shares her excitement about the overwhelming response she’s received, “I am so excited by the response received from students and adults alike. This is a great opportunity to bring the community together.”

Kicking off the day of festivities will be the 1 Voice – 1 Vote YouTube Competition. According to the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement, estimates suggest that voter turnout among young people has surged to its highest level in a decade. Jennifer shares, “We want to build upon that momentum! We are calling all youths ages 13 – 29 to participate in our “1 Vote – 1 Voice” YouTube Competition around the country!” Five winners will be selected and announced on May 6th during the Steve Harvey morning show.
The goal is to give young people the opportunity to be a part of the political process by making their voices heard, while, at the same time, enlightening their peers, and encouraging them to become involved.

Teach One Academy will also recognize 10 local high school students who applied for scholarships to help with college tuition. Five local high school students will be selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship.
